In the coming months, the film industry in Cameroon will proudly be one movie richer, when Victimized would get into circulation. At press time, producer Ken Ngamne Shally Monette was putting things together to leave for location in Maryland. “All is almost set for the kick off,” the Minesota-based told TIPTOPSTARS. Ngamne who doubles as writer of the story will be joined by a huge team of actors and technicians once he arrives in MD for the filming of this upcoming movie observers already say will be a great hit.

According to the production team, once the cast and crew get on location, they will settle down for serious work. “We intend to make Victimized a palatable piece, reason why we will bury our heads in the projects and give out the give of ourselves in every aspect of production,” Ngamne told Afrikka Radio’s African Cocktail with Ernest Kanjo earlier.

The writer of The Storm, (another movie written by award-winning Ken Ngamne Shally Monette and released earlier this year) told us that Victimized is a well crafted story meant to deeply touch the hearts of those who will eventually watch the movie. It tells the story of a beautiful young lady Lillian Monono, who comes from a very rich family, but, has to go through the hustles of life, after she lost both parents in a ghastly car crash. Faced with obvious challenges, she has to make some quick and rash decisions, in order to free herself from the web in which she is trapped. But, did she make the best decisions about her problems? What would she have done, and how would she have reacted differently? Is she to blame for the directions she decided to follow? Did she really do it? Answers to these questions are found in the story that will be translated into an 80-minute-long cinematographic piece which will be directed by Ephraim Chiejina.e. Onyemaechi of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria (DGN).
The Espoir Productions Studios movie (with Mat Atugon as Executive Producer) will be released in September 2014. Featruing in Victimized are renowned actors including Ken Shally Monette Ngamne, Desarray Ay, Mat Atugon, Paula Obaseki, Syl Amin, Bertini Heumegni, Eyong Jose, Sir Ryan and others.

Meanwhile, the producer of Victimized is a 2014 Nollywood and African Film Critics’ nominee from the movie The Storm. Directed by Obed Joe and produced by Emmanuel Takusi.
