COLUMBUS: TATA KINGE PROMISES ROUSING CONCERT

One of Cameroon’s leading folkloric artists, Tata Kinge has confirmed that he will be on stage in Columbus Ohio on Saturday, June 1, 2024. In a video message now circulating, the singer urged his fans all over the United States to stream into Columbus, join him on stage, and savor great music moments with him. Tata Kinga, branded as a King of Cha Cha (Bakweri traditional dance) will be in Columbus to grace the official launching of Eyol’a Columbus, a young Bakweri association created to promote the mokpwe culture.
The artist has been on a USA tour for the past couple of weeks and recently thrilled New York. He comes to Columbus at a time when the city has yearned to watch him perform live.
Tata Kinge rose to the limelight almost one-and-the-half decades ago and got to the music brim in 2013 with his famous “Panya”. His 2017 “Malachi II” swept indigenous music lovers off their feet and still holds them spellbound, just like Tata Kinge’s monumental love track, “My Love.”
Kinge who resides in London in the United Kingdom, is an acclaimed dancer with incredibly thrilling moves. He has scores of other tracks including “Yanana Ndi Ngundu,” “Loko Na Loko,” “Lima Wongene,” and “Yaya.”
