Cameroonian movies: Ekei gets final premiere |

The film industry in Cameroon became one movie richer last Saturday, June 28, 2014, following the official release of Ekei. Ekei is the much-talked about Cameroonian movie produced by Kang Quintus and Elian Mambo and directed by Akim Macauley. Confirmed reports say the movie’s premiere that took place in Maryland Saturday was an event packed with glamour with the presence of some of people usually mentioned as influential in the industry. Spotted at the event were actress/producer Lilian Ndi, actress Trinah Takoh and Benedette Keyi. Speaking to TIPTOPSTARS later, Kang Quintus simply said Ekei premiere was a success. “It was a wonderful premiere, we give God the glory,” said the Maryland-based producer. Shot last year, Ekei is said to be a carefully fabricated piece of work characterized by good images and fine artistic performances. Starring in the Quinsia Film/Zeallmatic Pictures movie are Staphanie Maa, Chinepoh Cosson, Solieil Diva, Claudio Oben, Elian Mambo, Wendy Bangura (Sierra-Leonean), Nathalie Bih, Don Pale, Ntube Mcbright, Wkeith Scott, Peter Muggleworth, Jerri Barkers, Ngato Brian, Charmaine Mufua and others. Other technical crew members in the production include Christopher Okonkwo (D.O.P), Elvis Effamba (Camera Operator 1) and Penjo Baba (Camera Operator 2).
