Dust is yet to settle on the launching of the new album of folklore hero Ateh Bazore.Yi Cheum was launched recently amidst euphoria among music fans. Throughout the night, the Chamber of Agriculture hall vibrated with sounds from Bazore's latest, as the artiste and his dexterous dancers moved the spectators. Njang flowed and bottle dance won hearts. Thunderous applause characterized the entire event. Each time Bazore went on stage, "able men" (financially viable) accompanied and sprayed cash on him. Not only because they were supporting their brother's visionary venture, but the "able men" were quite impressed with the quality of music the talented artiste dished out. Several renowned musicians featured in the show including Patou Bass, Messy Ambriose, Romeo Dika, Albert Premier, Silver, Ledoux Marcellin and General Tse Kingala. The event was also an occasion for Bazore's fans to express their love for the artiste. Speaker after speaker highlighted Bazore's humility, relentlessness, co-operative spirit and talent. "I fell in love with his voice on radio and music long before he became my tenant," said Bazore's landlord. He continued "We've lived together harmoniously and I won't hesitate to give him my full support." The speakers were unanimous that the musician from Kom in the North West region will go places. Bazore is over 20 years old in music and has five albums in the market. He plans to launch his latest album in the US in the coming months. "My friends there are making arrangements for that," he told us.
