KORA 2008 nominee group, the Bright Phase has received a thumbs-up reaction from Yaounde film actors. At a Cameroon Film Industry (CFI) reunion last week, two singers of the group, Sylva Bright and Pally Bright received a standing ovation, for making Cameroon proud. The brilliant show put up by the group at Cotonou recently was revisited as the young singers were given a pat on their backs. CFI actors and actresses expressed their love for the group and wished them the best as they rode towards glory. They also pledged to give Sylva, Pally, Black and Beryl their full support by voting them come 24 January (remember code number: + 248984000 or via net www.korawards.org), when the race begins.

On their part, the two Bright brothers expressed gratitude for the support and said they were glad to meet Yaounde actors and actresses. “I’m amazed with the kind of enthusiasm, displayed by the actors and actresses here,” said Sylva. He added: “Such is the kind of spirit we need if we must attain higher heights,” The Bright brothers further advised the artists to keep being determined, defying all odds in the process of marching towards victory. “Define what you want and you shall fine it,” said Sylva. “Make use of your potentials, and do not rely sole on your credentials,” he went on. The Yaounde rencontre was also an opportunity for the KORA 2008 nominees to be introduced to younger musicians, amongst them, G-Lyn of Block Harmony.
