It is no longer news that the
Cameroonian Afro beats music group, Bright Phase is a 2008 KORA nominee. For a
couple of months now, the country has been drowned in the euphoria of this
great honour. In a recent concert in Cotonou,
Benin, for the
prelims and accompanied on stage by Odile Ngaska, Sylva, Pally, Blacky and
Beryle thrilled the audience with their fascinating songs and choreography. The
Cotonou
assembly confessed that the young Cameroonians had the best performance even
with the presence of a renowned musician like Congolese's Fally Ipupu. "We
had a thumbs-up response from all the artistes who were present," says
Sylva Bright. Some foreign colleagues didn't hide falling in love with Bright
Phase's traditional African ‘Mukuta'. attire.
"They would from time to time touch and express their admiration for it,"
Slyva continued. To Pally, Cotonou
was an experience they will never forget. "It was a golden opportunity to show Africa what stuff we were made of," he said. The
last bend is negotiated and voting will begin on 24 January 2009. More than ever, Bright Phase needs the support of
Cameroonians, not only its fans. Voting for the group is the only surest way to
have Cameroon
on top at the KORA Awards. "It's going to be yet another big catch for
the country, after Sidney's marvellous
performance at the maiden edition of the Africa
Stars Awards," said a music fan. Therefore as from 24 January, vote via
sms using the code +248984000. For those who would want to vote via the Internet,

to Bright Phase.
