That the importance of prayers is highlighted in a secular track cannot be underestimated. It is telling enough. Nick Mayor alone may know exactly why he chose to make prayer the main theme in his latest single, but the truth is that Could You Pray For Me is sinking in music minds like nothing ever did.

Though the song is a tale of the 20-year-old singer’s rise to fame, observers hold strongly that Could You Pray For Me is a lesson to all a sundry that prayer is the only fence breaker.

nickmayeor TTSThe single whose video is co-directed by YAX and the musician himself and produced in collaboration with Jupiter Music, is not only admired but consumed with an unending appetite, thanks to the meticulousness in which it is packaged.

It is not a surprise that Could You Pray For Me can easily go on every lip – Nick Mayor’s compositions have the strong habit of quickly winning admirers, thanks to their melodious and content-rich fashion. This is the case with Good Life, a previous track in which listeners of the up-and-coming online radio, Batimu FM (www.batimufm.com) are easily caught requesting for. Same thing with the French College production, I Need a Dollar, that sent waves of musical pleasure running down the spines of viewers of local TV stations in Cameroon.

This success story has not been an accident. “God has been active in my career, passing through my parents to push me up the ladder,” Nick Mayor, a musicologist in the making told TIPTOPSTARS. “They have been very supportive, even when I never nursed hopes of becoming a professional singer,” he added.

The Belgium-based Cameroonian rapper who is a member of the Parisian French College band, has mix tapes and videos on YouTube. He is an easy-going young person whose humility has been mentioned severally. He is however true to himself, just like the message he sets to pass across in I’m Real, one of his popular tracks. In one of such jokes the artist is noted for, Nick Mayo told this reporter that a bowl of ndole, a Cameroonian delicacy from the coastal belt of the country, served with rice would be a good deal after an interview like the one he had with TIPTOPSTARS.
