Like is the case with any other artiste, insufficient finances slow down the pace of production. Yet, that doesn’t kill Kokong Signet Tabong’s dreams. The Douala Based Hip-Hop artist keeps those dreams intact – rising to the top of the art he knows best. His career is an album old and the nine tracks in it span across a variety of themes, all discussing life.
“I get inspiration from the things that happen in my life and those other people experience,” Signet told this reporter. “Once I get inspired, I develop my story and head for the lyrics,” he went further.
With the help of his bosom friend, Rogers Burnley who doubles as Signet’s online coach and Robert E, the HIP-Hop star ensures that his songs are well written. Perhaps, his style is what makes the up-and-coming musician outstanding. Hear him: “I have a unique way of doing my songs and a catchy way manner in conveying the message loaded in them.” Such messages are beautifully packaged in English and his native Obang.
For one thing, this 27-years-old young Cameroonian singer doesn’t sleep, neither does he lie on his laurels. “I’m already working on my second release and currently doing the video of one of the tracks titled About Me.”
Signet, a dexterous beat maker loves all his songs, but Politics Ate Me appeals more to his music taste bud. He also loves to teach, but would press his fingers on the table for anything music, movies and books. He is a good swimmer who would be excited once a hot bowl of rice is set before him. “Rice is my favourite dish,” Signet told us. Watch out for more on this artiste who is an admirer of EMINEM, 2Face idiba, 2Pac, Rick Ross and R.Kelly.
