EmilieSiewe2If there is one thing spectators at the summer 2012 maiden edition of the Cameroon Entertainment Awards, CEA love to remember, it is undoubtedly the stage directing of the event. To say it was wonderful is an understatement. It was unarguably a veritable display of captivating professionalism. “I was fascinated by the stage directing and if the agile chocolate complexioned lady I noticed, shuttling back stage from one end to the other was the brain behind this success, then I doff my hat to her,” one guess to CEA I had told TIPTOPSTARS in Washington DC.

The said stage directing guru was Washington-based Emilie Siewe, one of the industrious Cameroonians the country’s diaspora prides to mention any time there is cause to refer to successful young people. That fateful evening in DC, TIPTOPSTARS vividly recalls that the talented floor director ran such a complex event with soothing ease to the utter admiration of her technicians and the artistes who took turns to thrill the crowd. The CEA stage shined in numerous colours, backed by a coaxing sound system that held spectators spellbound.

Perhaps, the stylish walk-ons and walk-offs of event hosts and MCs spoke volumes of Emilie creativity in the art she performs best. In these, her audience saw a young stage director whose limit goes beyond the sky.

As she makes great in-roads in stage directing, Emilie lives another successful life – entrepreneurship. She is the company founder, president, and director of Business Development for Aphrodite Entertainment LLC, a closely held collection of projects which include event planning, celebrity booking and management services, with the head office located in Washington DC.

Since founding Aphrodite Entertainment after her college graduation, using her entire personal savings, Emilie has structured and aims to develop the company into a nationally and internationally recognized entity that will operate in several markets, as well as across the globe.

A graduate from Morgan State University with a Bachelor in Psychology, Emilie is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Management at the University of Maryland.

Despite her academic accomplishments, Emilie attributes the success of Aphrodite Entertainment to three important skills that can never be learned - ingenuity, ambition, and leadership. With her unique leadership style, Emilie encourages and nurtures the professional growth of her staff while, at the same time, demanding the highest level of performance from them.

Emilie’s peers commonly refer to her as a driven and dedicated individual, and she put her best efforts forth in any of the projects that Aphrodite Entertainment is involved in. Both Emilie’s and Aphrodite Entertainment’s track records can be attributed to a relentless effort to have ever-expanding skill sets, which further differentiates Aphrodite Entertainment from its competition. The client results and the success of Aphrodite Entertainment’s projects are undeniable.

Born in Cameroon, Emilie has traveled the world from Africa to Europe to Asia to America which explains her diverse background.
