When both men agreed on a deal, the script was emailed to the Belgium-based actor who studied it closely before heading to Holland for the shoot. “I accepted the script, first because it is professionally written with enough suspense, well-coordinated sub and main plots that make the story exciting. Secondly, I felt in love with the character,” Kang told TIPTOPSTARS Editor on the line to Antwerp. According to the actor who has just produced his own movie, Critical Point, Confused Bachelor was an exciting experience. “I had a good working relationship with the producer who doubled as director of the movie,” Kang explained. “Simon is a very simple and jovial person who has an overwhelming passion for his job and knows what he is doing. It was really fun shooting,” he went further. Kang also told us the cast and crew were amazing. He was particularly amazed with the sophisticated nature of the equipment used in the production and would love to work with this team again and again. In his role as the protagonist of Confused Bachelor, the actor is in desperate search for a woman to marry. Whenever he comes across a potential wife, something comes up (either from him, the woman or from a third party) that ends up rubbishing the relationship. The same things keep happening and the bachelor becomes even more confused. In the end never gets married. Also featuring in the movie are two Nigerian actors Jerry Amilo and Anita Hogan. “I enjoyed working with them and learnt quite much in the process,” Kang told us. Kang is a passionate actor. He has recently been nominated in the best actor in lead role category for the Cameroon Entertainment Awards. |
