It is now an undeniable fact that Cameroon’s film industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. It grows in quantity and quality. This growth is thanks to the people making the films and the movies themselves. The Storm and its producer Kenneth Ngamne are the latest in the line of this evolution. Shot recently in Maryland, the movie mobilized some of the most ingenuous young Africans filmmakers and artists in the United States of America.

“It’s a serious project, reason why we decided to bring in serious people,” producer Ngamne who is based in Minnesota told African Cocktail, a show hosted on Afrikka Radio by Ernest Kanjo.

According to the producer, The Storm is a carefully written story which is carefully crafted cinematographically to meet the required standard of a good movie. “And this is so because we care about the taste of the potential viewers,” Ngamne insisted.

Written by Ngamne-Ken-Shally-Monnette who doubles as actor in the movie, The Storm was shot for a couple of days on locations in Maryland with Obed Joe (D.G.N) as director and Nigerian-born Christopher Chinedu Okonkwo as Director of Photography assisted by Ejike.

Revolving around Jerry, Mike, Kelly and Alice, the story questions whether money buy love? According to the author, we keep searching for love, but sometimes do that the very wrong way and for wrong purpose. Man has probably become very self-centered and selfish in their quest for love.  Would you afford not to reciprocate, especially when you were offered love with no strings? The answers to these questions are embedded in the must-watch movie coming up soon, the producers tell us.

With Zonetak Productions Inc. as executive producer, The Storm is currently undergoing post-production in the USA. “We are planning a couple of premieres for the movie and we provide details when the time comes,” the producer told TIPTOPSTARS

Starring in the movie are Mairo Sanda, Serafine Fon, Nathalie Bih, Fon Mat A Atugon, Gladion Diamong, Fleur Di, Charlotte La Classe from Cameroon – Best Davis, Obi Bright Daniel, Bessey aka American Mama, Paula, from Nigeria – Arnelle Wilson, Lischen Toloe from Liberia – Fatty Keita from Guinea – Nattu from Sierra Leone. The stars were made and dressed up by Yomene Nathalie.
