The Nightmare of a Belief by Cameroonain filmmaker Samuel Loe which was first screened at the 11th Göttingen International Ethnographic Film Festival, has come out emergent in the category ‘Best student film’ at the 21st International Festival of Ethnological Film in Belgrade. The Nightmare of a Belief of a belief is a strong autobiographical theme which journeys the filmaker into the nightmare of his own childhood – a world of black magic that characterises the life of the people of Mbangui Chari in Cameroon where tragedies, bad experiences and events have their origin in the supernatural. A belief that is deeply rooted in the society, in which Loe grew up. The Nightmare of a Belief of a belief is scheduled for other international festivals:
