ONE: From 2012 when it was completed and started being submitted to film festivals, till around 2015 when news about it faded out, NINA’S DOWRY harvested over 32 awards internationally. It was the single Cameroonian movie at the time that flexed muscles with foreign productions and easily rose above them. NINA’S DOWRY swept awards across several categories until the public lost count of the prizes at some point. Amongst the awards the movie, produced by Victor Viyouh won, were a good number of them, going to the lead actress Mbufung Seikeh. Seikeh, then a film scholar, had neither starred nor featured in many movies as such, but NINA’S DOWRY alone propelled her to the summit at festivals. The actress who is more tilted towards film education does not hit the screens so often and might not have been so conspicuous in the news, but Seikeh has a story, though not sufficiently told, but rich in content. We went fishing for her after years of silence and this Saturday, the lead actress in NINA’S DOWRY returns to public space. Mbufung Seikeh will be one of our special guests on African Fiesta this Saturday. TWO: Adele Clarice is back with the voice, melody and message. She presents her latest single, JEALOUS and explains how she worked on this project to produce such a great result. THREE: Stanlion Clothing’s founder and CEO is back on radio, this time to unravel the mystery of the relationship between fashion and the red carpet. Depending on his long years of fashion designing experience, Stanley Akisah accesses behaviors we observe on African red carpets and helps us in charting the way forward in this very sensitive aspect of entertainment. FOUR: Gospel music artist, Tehilla Beltha fulfils her 2021 Spring music release by bringing forth FOR MY MATTER. She presents the new track plus explains what it entailed to complete the project. FIVE: The African film industry becomes one movie richer when RECOMPENSE finally sees the light of day, thanks to Florence Onuma. The Nigerian movie producer and actress tells us about this new movie, awaiting with much anxiety and excitement, including how she was able to work this out during the pandemic. These Africans and perhaps more will be our guests on the 177th edition of AFRICAN FIESTA this Saturday at 9;30am EST (2:30pm gmt+1) Join us: Web : www.apex1radio.com

Journeying onwards without amassing inspiration from the past only reduces our scope. We will not write about the history of Cameroonian blogging without mentioning Cynthia Tabe. Records show that she is one of the pioneers in this new age form of communication. Who didn’t know her ModeMaison PR outfit and how her team displayed a mastery of corporate communication in music management for leading urban artist Stanley Enow? This week, we have gone looking back at the PR specialist and blogging pioneer. Cyntha comes on radio at the time Akumba Music is getting into a PR arrangement with The Hotjem, one of the leading blogs today. As Achu Normad of the record label and Mbole Ekaney of the popular portal explain how this new working deal came about, Slim MacArnold tells us what meeting and sharing business experiences means in entrepreneurship. The CEO of The Three Sons Business Solutions, will be explaining the reason behind last week’s business café his organization put up in Douala. While the business café was going on, Angela M was putting out a new track, mostly sung in Kikiyu. The Kenyan gospel musician presents UYU NI WENDO on the same show with Sierra Leone’s Hawanatu Koroma who will be telling us about her latest movie, DOUBLECROSS. The talented MarylandUSA-based seventh artist will also explain her journey in the art of acting. These young and inspiring Africans will be our guests in the 175th edition of African Fiesta this Saturday. The show starts at 9:30am EST (2:30pm gmt+1).
