Journeying onwards without amassing inspiration from the past only reduces our scope. We will not write about the history of Cameroonian blogging without mentioning Cynthia Tabe. Records show that she is one of the pioneers in this new age form of communication. Who didn’t know her ModeMaison PR outfit and how her team displayed a mastery of corporate communication in music management for leading urban artist Stanley Enow? This week, we have gone looking back at the PR specialist and blogging pioneer. Cyntha comes on radio at the time Akumba Music is getting into a PR arrangement with The Hotjem, one of the leading blogs today. As Achu Normad of the record label and Mbole Ekaney of the popular portal explain how this new working deal came about, Slim MacArnold tells us what meeting and sharing business experiences means in entrepreneurship. The CEO of The Three Sons Business Solutions, will be explaining the reason behind last week’s business café his organization put up in Douala. While the business café was going on, Angela M was putting out a new track, mostly sung in Kikiyu. The Kenyan gospel musician presents UYU NI WENDO on the same show with Sierra Leone’s Hawanatu Koroma who will be telling us about her latest movie, DOUBLECROSS. The talented MarylandUSA-based seventh artist will also explain her journey in the art of acting. These young and inspiring Africans will be our guests in the 175th edition of African Fiesta this Saturday. The show starts at 9:30am EST (2:30pm gmt+1).

New TV show: Telling The Untold Story

There is an increasing number of humanitarian actions going on in Africa today. Scores of young Africans are making a meaning out of their talents and skills. The entertainment landscape in the continent continues to grow from lips and bounds, giving birth to more heroes and heroines. Africa is embracing technology, not only from the user perspective, but from the development end. Many young tech inventors, including app developers are emerging from the continent. However, with all this going on, little of it is being reported, either by the mainstream media or by citizen journalists. Even when these stories are being told and the people making things happen talked about, they aren’t celebrated to the extent the world can appreciate Africa.

To change the narrative, Sisterspeak237 believes that something should be done differently. SPOTLIGHT is the organization’s (also a blog) newest concept through which it thinks under-reported stories could be given sufficient attention. “I believe that communication is the heart of social change,” says Commy Musa in a release that announces the new TV show. “We can drive this change one story at a time.”

The Journalist and founder of Sisterspeak237 is convinced that no one else would be telling our stories if we do not ourselves. “Spotlight is about conversations worth having,” Commy goes on.

The TV show, launched on March 7, 2021 is produced in collaboration with NaJa TV and plays on the online channel every week.

Speaking about this new collaboration, Naja TV CEO, Wesleg Nanse sees SPOTLIGHT as a way of adding value to our daily conversation. The media executive believes in a world where human relationship would be void of vices and a TV show could be that contributing factor to achieve this.

African Fiesta 169 - Ebangha Njang talks about latest SA MAJESTE mag

AfricanFiesta169
When you educate a man, you have educated an individual, but when you educate a woman,  you have done so for an entire nation, so goes an old adage. When a musician held that the woman is the mother of humanity and must be treated with subtlety,  he was making a great point. Then, a woman to celebrate other women deserves every single accolade she gets. These reflections are translated into SA MAJESTE, this leading magazine that tells stories of how young women are striking the cords of success, in a bid to inspire their kind. Its publisher,  Ebangha Njang,  presses the magazine's mouth-watering 7th issue on AFRICAN FIESTA this Saturday. Join us as from 9:30am EST  (3:30pm gmt +1) on www.apex1radio.com Catch up then!
