Actress: The boisterous Lady B |
Thursday, 17 March 2011 01:00 |
There is every reason for this young female actor, living in Kumba-Cameroon to shine. She comes from a very formidable acting background. “I have been acting from childhood,” she explained. When we met her in Kumba recently, Bessem Edith aka Lady B said as a child, she would perform in drama pieces and do poetry recitals with great passion.
Eight years ago, her dream to ply the professional acting super highway came to fruition. That is how directors started soliciting her in their movies. Lady B has therefore featured in many movies including award-winning Hotel Vianello, Drastic Measure, Love in Flame and Inheritance. Her ability to impersonate, but living her role in the process makers her performance a strong point of attraction. Perhaps the inspiration she gets from her role model, Hollywood’s Hally Barre is also an added impetus to the art she knows and loves best. The 1.63m-tall female actor who hails from Kembong in Manyu Division of the South West region nurses the ambition of becoming a great international movie star. She possesses other skills including writing and singing. “I do write poems,” she told us. |
