Dashaki

I wear my dashaki
Like a queen wears her crown
Elegant, soft, colorful, exquisite
My dashaki is flavour
To my soul
And passage to yesterday's chronicles
My source of wealth
I flourish with my dashaki
I wear my dashaki with pride
It's an architect
Of who, I am
And who I will be
A symbol of my cultural heritage
Every color tells stories
Of who I was
Who I am
And, who I will be
