Yaounde has just hosted another edition of the African Film Festival dubbed Ecrans Noirs. The festival which brought together African filmmakers from all over the globe ran from June 29 to July 6, 2013. During the weeklong festival, guests were treated to film projections while producers and directors took part in workshops organized as sidelines. A highlight of this year’s event was the victory of the famous Ninah’s Dowry by Victor Viyuoh which grabbed three awards. The Los Angeles producer/director has been in Cameroon since then and will be talking from Yaounde on African Cocktail this Saturday with Ernest Kanjo. Ecrans Noirs is the initiative of Cameroon’s leading filmmaker, Bassek Ba Khobio.
