After Traffic d'Enfant, here comes Zoomers picture again. This time, Zigoto Tchaya Tchameni and co has worked on an action packed-Cameroonian movie. Extension 4 will be completed soon. The movie has however seen the light of day, following public preview projections in Yaounde in the last couple of days. At its first stop Extension 4 attracted the attention of King Rogan club members and guests. They did not hide their feelings. Speaker after speaker after the projection congratulated Zigoto, the crew and actors on the great job. To many, the acting was superb, the directing wonderful, the picture impeccable and what have you. Such performance spurred many, including a member of parliament from the North West region to make promises vis-à-vis promoting the film industry in Cameroon. To him, Zigoto and the Zoomers represent hope for our film industry. Other speakers expressed surprise. "I didn't know Cameroonians had gone that far in film making. This is indeed a thing to write home about," one of them said. Actor Yimbu Emmanuel did not hide his feelings as well. Also a University lecturer, Yimbu expressed joy that Cameroonians could come together, sit and watch Cameroonian movies and make positive comments about them. "It makes us willing to work harder and harder," he said. The reaction was the same at the further projections. Still under production, Extension 4 delves into certain incongruous attitudes in our society today. The satirical manner in which the story is presented makes it more palatable. Perhaps, the technical quality of the movie is also a captivating factor. Extension 4 is directed by Zigoto himself and features Nina-Marie Eyep-Nsop, Yusibom Eugene, Billy Bob Ndive, Agwe George (Zakzo), Layih Butake, Mbong Cameline, etc. The producers expect to feature the movie at the annual film festival dubbed Ecrans Noirs next year.
