Who says Cameroon is not great? Young Cameroonians in the diaspora have been making their country proud via their talents. Yesterday it was Spanish, now UK-based Ashley Stephanie. Today it is 22-year-old Sona Lionel Ekume Aka Sona up-and-coming Hip- Hop star. The young artiste has released his second album, African Juju which will be launched in Cameroon in the coming months. The US-based singer will be home to that effect, accompanied by some renounced local Hip Hop stars. Preparations ahead of Sona's five-city tour have begun in Bamenda, Kumba, Limbe, Douala and Yaounde. His soul searching songs have already hit the radio air waves in this town. According to Tabe Celestine a Sona close aide, the Hip-Hop singer's concert in will be hectic. "That is why Hip-Hop lovers in particular and Cameroonians in general to turn out en masse to receive their own," he says. Tabe has been to these towns to lay ground work for Sona's Cameroon visit. The young Cameroonian, holder of a degree in pharmacology at the University of Wisconsin runs a record label, intercession records. His first album, Man in the Mirrow, is characterized by beautiful songs. Dreams, his single, is also a piece worth listening to.
