Molongo is the name most fans of the one-time comic relief slot of the CRTV breakfast show, “Hello” were familiar with. Today, Chi Anthony now directs “Social Slot” on the same programme. He is before everything else a talented actor who is fast printing his name in the golden book of the Cameroonian film industry. At 25, Anthony is already railing towards stardom, having inched-up into movie in 2005. Inspired by Nigeria’s Pete Edochie and Kenneth Okonkwo, the young artist, whose strength lies in script mastery, role interpretation and physical build says he’s been acting since childhood. Among other movies, the 1.71m-tall and 67kg actor from Wum in the North West Province has featured in Asaba Ferdinand’s Path of Love and Mark of the Absolute, Victor Pungong’s Trials of Passion, Moving Star Entertainment’s Painful Tears, Jedida Pictures’ A Choice to Make and Claude Ndengue’s Genesis. He is currently directing a series that will be projected on CRTV in the coming months.
