One of English-speaking Cameroon's most refined film makers, Buminang Elvis has been honoured again, this time by the Fako Film Festival in Buea. Buminang's Last Stick grapped the prize for the best directed short film. Last Stick is a short film, void of speech with a telling story. It is shot in Yaounde, starring Didi Lobe. Other prizes at the festival included Jedidiah Tebo's For Better or For Worse (special prize of the jury), Ako Abunaw's Potent Secret (honorary prize), Somo Jude (best actor) and Delphine Itambi (best actress). Only a couple of months ago, the protagonist in Last Stick, Didi Lobe won a prize for his role in the short film. The Fako Film Festival is an annual event that awards short films, mostly done by English-speaking Cameroonians.
